Fishing in San Francisco Bay.

Fishing in San Francisco Bay with the Minkler clan and JP. A little rough getting up at 4:30am but worth it, if only to get the chance to get out on the famous bay.

Drinking a beer before 9 am on any normal day would sure make me feel like a bum. However, drinking a beer before 9 am when you're fishing and have been up for four hours, that just makes me feel like a man.

4th of July - The Vineyard.

My favorite holiday done right. First, a slow morning. The view from the porch.

Then to the beach. Aquinnah.

Then to the market. Normally on the 4th of July I grill up a mess of burgers and hot dogs. This year we took a more site-specific approach.

Burgers.

Hot dogs.

I heard them scream.

Lobsters and oysters on the Fourth. We have ourselves a new tradition.

Michael will eat that.

Finished the night at Lambert's Cove, swimming in the phosphorescence and watching the fireworks overhead. So very nice.

Lobster makes us happy. Beer makes us drunk.

Martha's Vineyard

Boston's North End.

Delicious.

Mike's Pastry.

Monstah Lobstah at the Union Oyster House--America's longest continuously running restaurant. The place has been open since 1826 at it smells like it.

Pemaquid Peninsula.

Pemaquid beach.

This guy is for Obama.

Near Damariscotta, Maine.

Maybe one of my favorite places in New England. The swimming hole at Bristol Dam. Simple fun.

Round Pond, Maine

Round Pond. Notice the little inlet--that is the way into/out of the cove from Muscongus Sound and the Atlantic.

6 Molly's Cove Rd.

If you're ever in Round Pond, look out for this guy. The Phantome - aka the French Element.

Sunset from the dinghy looking back at the compound.

Maine is good.

Bob's Clam Hut - Kittery, Maine

Our first, but by no means last, lobstah rolls of the trip happened at the famous Bob's Clam Hut on the side of US Route 1 in Kittery, Maine. Our first, and probably last, 'clamburgers' also happened here.

New England.

I thought everyone was going to be dressed like this. I really should have bought this outfit. Seen on Beacon Hill in Boston.
