Day 1 - Lees Ferry to Soap Creek (Mile 0 - 11)

Our first day was a cold one. We had to get used to the big 18' boats and the cold weather. After spending a morning doing an orientation with the NPS ranger, we got on the river around noon and had a short day to Soap Creek.

I have looked down on rafters from that bridge so many times and cursed them for their, here I am. It sure felt good floating under it this time.

First real rapid of the trip--Badger Creek. The Puma attacks.
