Day 11 - Bye Bye Team Fat Kid

We switched out 10 people at Phantom Ranch via the South Kaibab Trail (ten people up, ten new people down, six of us stayed on for the entire trip). The South Kaibab one of the greatest trails on the planet, and hiking it after such a big snowstorm must have made it even better. Some pictures from those that hiked in or out that day (I stayed at Phantom Ranch and drank hot coffee).

Jarbidge Wilderness, Nevada

Day One of the Dirty Thirty trip began in the desert of northern Nevada. We camped just outside the Jarbidge Wilderness, which I will definitely be exploring more sometime in the future--preferably after a particularly wet winter.

Rounding a corner on the Jarbidge road we came across these things. They were in a hurry to get somewhere. The video sucks but you get the idea.
